Getting started with D2L

Log into D2L:

You can go directly to D2L using the following link: d2l.bowvalleycollege.ca. Or you can follow the instructions below:

1. Go to the Bow Valley College homepage at bowvalleycollege.ca. Then click on the purple Menu button at the top, right-hand side of the screen. 

2. In the menu that opens, click on the Login To D2L link.

3.  Click on the Blue Log in button

3. Log in with your myBVC email and password.

Getting started:

The first page you see is your D2L homepage.

  • In the left column, you will see news and information that the College has shared with students.
  • In the right column, you'll see a link to your Program Page. Check your Program Page regularly for news and updates that your Program/Department has shared.

Finding your courses in D2L

***Important note: Your courses will not show up in D2L until the first day of class!

To get to your courses, click on the Grid button at the top of your screen. A list of courses will pop down. Click on the course that you want to view.

Course home

When you are in a course in D2L you will see the course name at the top of your screen. You will also see a large banner with the course name and a picture. Every course has a different banner - double check that you're in the correct course before submitting any work!

Below the banner, you will see the news and information your Instructor wants to share with your class. Every course page has it's own news feed - make sure you check in and read your course news regularly so you don't miss any updates.
