Brightspace Pulse

The Brightspace Pulse app is available for both Android and iOS phones and gives you access to your D2L Brightspace courses on your phone.

The Brightspace Pulse app allows you to:

  • View upcoming items that are due
  • See a view of your workload for the week
  • Get notifications of any updates and announcements from your classes
  • View your course content and grades

Please note: The Brightspace Pulse app is not a full replacement for accessing your courses on a computer. You should still regularly view content and complete course assessments on a laptop or desktop computer

How do I set up the Brightspace Pulse app?

1. Download the Brightspace Pulse app from your device's app store

  1. Apple App Store
  2. Google Play store

2. Start the app on your phone.

3. Scroll throught the initial introduction screens and then tap the Get Started button.

4. In the search box, type in Bow Valley College

5. Log in to D2L with your myBVC email and password.

6. Allow the Pulse app to send you notifications if you would like to be notified of course updates.

How do I use the Pulse app?

The Courses tab at the bottom of the screen will show you the courses you are currently enrolled in. Tap on the course you want to view.

At the top, you will see two tabs.

  • Content - review your course content and information
  • Grades - view your grades in your course. Final grades will NOT appear in the Pulse app.
