PRISM: Bow Valley College's digital repository

As an institutional repository, PRISM is a digital archive that allows Bow Valley College faculty, staff, and students to publish their academic and professional work online. It is administered in partnership with the University of Calgary Libraries.

The purpose of PRISM is twofold:

       •  PRISM provides a centralized platform to collect, manage, preserve, and disseminate the college’s intellectual outputs, such as research reports, conference presentations, and learning objects. Publishing work in PRISM ensures it is more readily discoverable in search engines like Google Scholar, which enhances the visibility of the research activities of both individuals and the institution.

       •  Items deposited into PRISM meet open access policy requirements of grants, including SSHRC, NSERC, and CIHR. As an open platform, it increases access so that the academic community, professional organizations, and the general public can learn about and apply the findings of research outputs.
