Did you know the Library has a video game collection?
We have a variety of Nintendo Switch and Playstation 5 games that are available to borrow and play. Some are 3-hour loans that you can play in the Library and some are 1-week loans that you can take and try at home.
If you want to play in the Library, we have a video game station set up at the back of the Library. You can borrow a set of PS5 controllers or our Nintendo Switch console for 3 hours.
All of our video games can be found by searching the Library catalogue.
1. Type in the words video games to start your search.
2. You'll get a list of all resources that are related to video games - including books, articles, and other resources. To narrow your seach to actual games you need to:
a. Under the Library filter, put a checkmark beside Bow Valley College Library
b. Click on Apply Filters at the bottom of the page to filter your results.
3. In the results, you may still see other results that are available from the library. If you only want a list of video games, you can set another filter:
a. Under the Type of Source filter, hover over the word Books
b. Click on the red checkmark icon on the right to filter out all books from the search results
4. You now have a list of all the video game titles we have in our collection.
a. Titles that are Available can be checked out at the Circulation Desk.
b. Titles that are Not Available can have a hold placed on them. You will be notified when your game is available to borrow.
Games that are Available at Bow Valley College Library - Audio Visual are 1 week loans.
Games that are Available at Bow Valley College Library - Equipment are 3 hour loans
