Library Services

Borrowing Policies  

You can borrow books and audio-visual materials using your Student ID card.

Staff and faculty are provided with library accounts and online access to the electronic resources of the library. Please bring your employee ID to the circulation desk to have a library barcode added to it. 

Loan Periods

General  Books  Two weeks  $1 per day per item
Reserve Books 24 hours  $1 per hour per item
Audio-visual materials  One week  $1 per day per item
Laptops, headphones, mouse devices, phone chargers, calculators and adapters Three hours $1 per hour per item
Reference materials  Library use  only  NA

Renew borrowed materials

To renew library materials go to  My Library Account 

You will be unable to renew library materials if:

  • Your student account has expired
  • You have $30 or more in fines 
  • Another user has placed a hold on the item

There are two places where library materials can be returned: 

1. The circulation desk during regular hours of operation

2. The after-hours book drop is located on the north campus main floor by the entrance

Fine Payment

  • Fines under $30 may be paid with a donation to the student food bank  "Open Cupboards"
  • Donated items must be: 
    •      Non-perishable
    •      Unopened
    •      Non-expired     
  • $2 will be waived for each donated item
  • Food donations cannot be used to waive lost items, damaged items, or overdue amounts over $30
